The Kentucky County Constables Amendment did not make the 2012 ballot in the state of Kentucky as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. The measure would have abolished county constable positions across the state. Two pieces of legislation were proposed in state legislative session.[1]

Path to the ballot

If 60% of the membership of each chamber of the Kentucky General Assembly approves, a proposed amendment goes on the ballot at the next general election during which members of the state legislature are up for election.
