The Alabama County Budget, Amendment 8, also known as Amendment 8, was on the ballot in Alabama on December 11, 1951, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that the legislature would be allowed to fix, alter and regulate the fees, commissions, allowances and salaries of, and the method of compensating the probate judge, the sheriff and his deputies, including the chief deputy of Madison County.
