The Rhode Island Consolidation Amendment did not appear on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the state of Rhode Island as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. The measure would have asked voters if they supported the consolidation of city and town services such as public safety and public works. The measure could have possibly asked if voters should have allowed local governments to merge tax collections as well. The question was proposed as a cost cutting measure in order to save time and money.[1]
