David J. Murphy
David J. Murphy was a Magisterial Districts judge for the Delaware County Magisterial District.[1]
Judicial misconduct
Judge Murphy has been arraigned on 522 charges of judicial misconduct. They include perjury, identity theft and tampering with records. Charges were filed on March 8, 2010 and his arraignment was on March 29, 2010. He has been on paid leave since August of 2009, when an investigation against him was opened. [2][3]
Murphey pleaded guilty to the charges against him and was barred from holding judicial office by the Pennsylvania Court of Judicial Discipline in January 2011.[4]
