This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $30 million in order to construct a new elementary school and renovate the current junior/high school building. A levy of $.58 per $100 of assessed property value would have also been enacted to pay for the bond money.[2] To help inform voters about this, tea meetings had been arranged by school officials in order to talk with residents and address questions or concerns about the bond.[3]
