A Lake County Senior Levy Replacement measure was on the March 6, 2012 ballot in Lake County.

The measure was approved

  • YES 27,137 (59.11%)Approveda
  • NO 18,772 (40.89%)[1]

This measure sought to replace the current senior levy with one set at a rate of .5 mill for a further five years in order to continue to pay for senior services in the county, operational costs of senior centers and volunteer programs. This levy will be an increase of .1 mill from the previous levy since property values have decreased the additional levy will ensure current services stay at the same level.[2]
