Middletown Health Department Levy Increase (November 2011)

A Middletown Health Department Levy Increase measure was on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the Middletown health district area which is in both Butler and Warren Counties.

This measure was defeated in both counties.
Butler

  • YES 609 (40.36%)
  • NO 900 (59.64%)Defeatedd[1]

Warren

  • YES 181 (32.15%)
  • NO 382 (67.85%)Defeatedd[2]

This measure sought to increase the current health department levy by a rate of .5 mills. The money would go towards further outreach programs by the health department as well as immunization programs. Health officials noted that if this levy is not approved further cuts to services will be made.[3]
