Ann E. Murphy is an at-large member of the Port Huron Board of Education in Michigan. First elected to the board in May 2010, she won re-election to a six-year term on November 4, 2014.[1]

Port Huron Area School District is located in St. Clair County, Michigan. The county seat is Port Huron. St. Clair County is home to 160,469 residents, according to the United States Census Bureau.[2] In the 2011-2012 school year, Port Huron Area School District was the 22nd-largest school district in Michigan and served 9,807 students.[3]
Demographics
St. Clair County underperformed compared to the rest of Michigan in terms of higher education achievement in 2012. The United States Census Bureau found that 15.5 percent of St. Clair County residents aged 25 years and older had attained a bachelor's degree compared to 25.5 percent for Michigan as a whole. The median household income for St. Clair County was $47,877 compared to $48,471 for the state of Michigan. The percentage of people below poverty level for St. Clair County was 14.3 percent while it was 16.3 percent for the state of Michigan.[2]
