Mazi Pilip

Mazi Pilip (Republican Party, Conservative Party) ran in a special election to the U.S. House to represent New York's 3rd Congressional District. Pilip lost in the special general election on February 13, 2024.

Biography

Pilip was born in Ethiopia and was evacuated to Israel along with her family when a civil war broke out in 1991. After serving in the Israel Defense Forces, Pilip graduated from the University of Haifa with a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy. She later obtained a master's degree in diplomacy and security from Tel Aviv University. Pilip immigrated to the U.S. in 2005.[1]
