Born and raised in Delaware, Sherm graduated from Christiana High School and continued his education in hospitality management attending Delaware Technical Community College and the University of Delaware, from 1991 to 1994. His education gave him the necessary skills to build his business. As he often says, “Planning for the future of Delaware begins with education.” Sherm is a proud third generation Navy veteran. He served his country (as a E5/OS2) from 1994-1998, where he served as an (OS) Occupational Specialist, a rescue swimmer, and Air-Traffic controller for the USS Mt. Whitney LLC-20.

He has advocated for multiple charitable organizations and fundraised throughout multiple communities. Most recently, he was nominated as a 2021 Man/Woman of the Year candidate for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. He has also helped with Downs Syndrome of Delaware, Hope Street, Preston's March and Autism Delaware f

  • Small Business is the backbone of Delaware. Through Small businesses we create great opportunities for today and tomorrow.
  • Veterans are often forgotten when they return home. They are one of our greatest assets. I plan on ensuring they have the resources for a great future in Delaware.
We need to find a way to raise our public education scores to higher than 25th to 30th ranked nationally. Sherm believes its extremely important to build great relationships with everyone at Legislative hall!
