Marcus Martin was a candidate for Fairfield District representative on the Henrico County School Board in Virginia. He was defeated in the general election on November 3, 2015.[1]

Opposition

The Henrico County School Board is a five-member board elected by district to serve four-year terms. All five seats were up for election on November 3, 2015. Newcomers Tara Adams, Roscoe Cooper III and Marcus Martin competed for the Fairfield District seat vacated by incumbent Lamont Bagby. Cooper won the open seat. In the Varina District, board member John Montgomery Jr. defeated a challenge from Ralph Hodge. Brookland District incumbent Beverly Cocke, Three Chopt District incumbent Michelle Ogburn and Tuckahoe District incumbent Lisa Marshall ran unopposed and won re-election to their seats.
