Robert Brown (California)

Robert Brown was an at-large member of the Temecula Valley Board of Education in California. Brown was first appointed to the board in 1995, and then again in 2000. He was first elected to the board in 2001 after running unsuccessfully twice in the late 1990s.[1][2]

His seat was up for general election on November 4, 2014. Brown lost in the general election.

Robert Brown is a resident of Riverside County, California. Brown is the owner and operator of Temecula Valley Fire Equipment Co.[3]

The election in Temecula Valley featured three at-large seats up for general election on November 4, 2014. Challengers Julie Farnbach, Kevin S. Hill and Sandy Hinkson defeated incumbents Robert Brown and Richard Shafer and challengers Cheryl Eckard and Mark Katan. Fellow board member Vincent O'Neal did not file for the election.

Funding

Candidates had to file contribution reports within 24 hours of receiving an aggregate total of $1,000 or more from a single source. The first scheduled pre-election report filing deadline was October 6, 2014. If candidates raised or spent less than $1,000 during the 2013 and 2014 calendar years, they had to file Form 470 at that time. If candidates raised or spent more during that time, they had to file Form 460 by the pre-election report filing deadline.[4]

Candidates required to file Form 460 also had to file a second pre-election report on October 23, 2014, and they had to file termination reports by December 31, 2014. If a termination report was not filed, candidates had to file a semi-annual report by February 2, 2015.[4]

Endorsements

Brown did not receive any official endorsements for his campaign during the election.
