Candidate Connection

Julian Santos completed Ballotpedia's Candidate Connection survey. The survey questions appear in bold and are followed by Santos' responses.

What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

1) Expand access to affordable health care, 2) invest in public education, and 3) prepare Florida for climate change

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am passionate about early childhood education. Studies have shown that the first five years are the most important part of a person’s life when it comes to learning, and yet our state underinvests in this segment of education.

What do you perceive to be your state’s greatest challenges over the next decade?

The window for Florida to take steps to prepare for climate change is closing. Sea leaves are rising faster and faster, and hurricanes are getting stronger and stronger. If we do not upgrade our infrastructure and reduce our carbon emissions, we will be endanger the lives of countless Floridians and leave the next generation a state in disarray.

Ballotpedia biographical submission form

The candidate completed Ballotpedia's biographical information submission form:

What is your political philosophy?

I'm running for office because Florida has big problems that our leaders are not addressing. From heath care, to education, to climate change, I want to tackle these issues head-on and help make Florida the great state I know it can be.[2]
