Jason Burke (Republican Party) ran for election to the Nevada State Assembly to represent District 5. Burke lost in the general election on November 6, 2018.

On September 14, 2018, Clark County District Judge Jim Crockett declared Burke's candidacy ineligible and removed him from the ballot. Judge Crockett declared Mack Miller the winner of the Republican primary after Burke failed to file campaign finance forms on time.[1][2] Burke asked the judge to reconsider his ruling, which the judge granted on September 27. The judge reversed his decision on October 9 and placed Burke back on the ballot.[3][4]
