Denise Harper Angel (b. November 24, 1953) is a Democratic member of the Kentucky State Senate, representing District 35. She was first elected to the chamber in 2004. Angel is a member of the Jefferson County Democratic Executive Committee and was a delegate at the Democratic National Convention in 1992. She was a candidate for Lieutenant Governor in 1995.

Angel attended the University of Louisville from 1978 to 1981. Her professional experience includes working as Chief of Staff for Property Valuation Administrator Office and Property Valuation Administrator for Jefferson County from 1990 to 2004.

Angel won re-election in the 2012 election for Kentucky State Senate District 35. She defeated Curtis Morrison in the Democratic primary on May 22, 2012, and was unopposed in the general election on November 6, 2012. [1][2]

2008

On November 4, 2008, Angel was re-elected to the 35th District Seat in the Kentucky State Senate, defeating John Albers (R) and Scott Ritcher (I).[3] Angel raised $100,651 for her campaign, while Albers raised $705 and Ritcher raised $3,904.[4]
