Adam Gussen was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 5th Congressional District of New Jersey. He lost to incumbent Scott Garrett.[1]

Gussen works in the insurance industry and is deputy mayor of Teaneck, NJ.[2]

Gussen said he would like to see the capital gains tax raised for certain individuals. He also advocated changes to health care legislation.[2]

Gussen ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent New Jersey's 5th District. He defeated Jason Castle and Diane Sare in the June 5 primary and faced Republican incumbent Scott Garrett in the November general election.[3]

Gussen said he, unlike the other two Democratic challengers, has the advantage of six years of political experience in Teaneck's city government.[2][4]
