Adrian Montalvo
Adrian Montalvo was a candidate seeking an at-large seat on the Half Hollow Hills Central School District Board of Education in New York in the general election on May 19, 2015.[1] He lost the election.[2]
Montalvo and fellow challenger Scott McElhiney formed a candidate slate for the 2015 election. The candidates supported each other's election bids and unsuccessfully asked voters to put them both on the board.[3]
Biography
Montalvo has lived in the district for 19 years. He works as a construction project manager, a position he has held for 16 years. Montalvo is involved in a number of roles for the Half Hollow Hills Central School District, including as a football coach, coordinator, commissioner and board member, as a lacrosse coach, program coordinator and board member and as a Little League coach. He is also a certified player safety coach with USA Football. He and his wife have one son who attends school in the district.[4]

2015
Two of the seven at-large seats on the Half Hollow Hills Central School District Board of Education were up for general election on May 19, 2015. Voters could vote for both seats in the election on a joint ballot. The two candidates who received the most votes were elected to the board.
No incumbents filed to run for re-election. The race featured four candidates—Stephanie Gurin, Adam Kleinberg, Scott McElhiney and Adrian Montalvo—running for the two open seats. Gurin and Kleinburg won election to the board.
The candidates split into two factions. Gurin and Kleinburg ran together as a slate, and McElhiney and Montalvo ran as a slate.
