Alabama Local Statute Amendment (1980)
|
|
The Alabama Local Statute Amendment, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Alabama on November 19, 1980, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed that statutes enacted prior to January 13, 1978, that apply to local areas based upon population statistics should not become invalid due to a population change reflected in a later census or because the statute was not properly advertised.[1]
