I am a seasoned hospitality industry professional, a devoted wife and mother, and an active member of this community. I grew up in Churchill Heights, and my husband and I are proud to be raising our children here. Throughout my 20-year career in hospitality and tourism, I have pursued and earned leadership roles because it brings me joy to help people. My work has honed my customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, preparing me to handle even the most sensitive challenges and intense crisis moments with grace. Most importantly, it taught me to treat everyone, from Cayce's residents to city staff to fellow council members, as valued individuals worthy of respect. My goal is not to climb the political ladder but to serve our city with integrity and commitment. Early in my career, I learned that true service requires genuine care and consistent follow-through. There are people out there who seek office not to serve, but to gain influence. I could not care less about power. I am driven to serve, I am deeply rooted in this community, and I am passionate about the future of our hometown. As your council member, I will listen, respond, and always focus on protecting and improving our quality of life.
  • One morning, I came home to find an entire block’s worth of trees being cut down, exposing our neighborhood street to Airport Blvd. and a future hotel. Our Council member buried mention of this project in one line of a newsletter few residents saw. The city didn't follow FAA Guidance for the property, require a fence or communicate with us,. Our bus stop was moved and property values dropped. My neighbors and I spoke up and have been meeting with the developer to try and encourage them to find a solution. No one should wake up to find their neighborhood less safe, less beautiful, and with their home worth less because leaders failed to protect them. I will serve with transparency, accountability, and care while fostering balanced growth.
  • Public safety is the foundation for Cayce's quality of life. Families deserve safe streets, well-lit neighborhoods, and confidence that first responders arrive quickly. With low crime rates and quick response times, Cayce is the envy of other cities. As your Council member, I will ensure our staff are paid competitive market rates, obtain needed equipment, and receive support to recruit and retain highly qualified personnel. Safety also means prevention: investing in youth programs, neighborhood watch, and traffic safety to address problems before they become crises. Strong communication builds trust, and residents should never be left in the dark. From safe bus stops to emergency preparedness, protecting families must come first.
  • Strong planning and promotion of our city helps attract and retain residents, as well as brings visitors who support our hotels, businesses, and restaurants. I will champion a 2026 charrette (a public, group problem-solving process) to engage citizens and businesses in shaping the next chapter of Cayce’s growth across seven key areas: land use, budget, economic development, community services, infrastructure, housing and promotion of our city. I have a professional track record of engaging diverse perspectives from men and women and people from all faiths, races, and ages, and I will foster civil discourse and strong relationships with Council, staff, and regional partners to ensure collaboration and thoughtful decision-making.
Cayce’s quality of life depends on safe streets, walkable neighborhoods, well-planned growth, and strong community services. I will prioritize infrastructure like sidewalks and playgrounds so children and families can walk and play safely. I will champion the Airport Corridor initiative while protecting and advancing the interests of District 3 communities. We must have zoning that protects neighborhoods while encouraging the growth residents want, including restaurants, shops, and small businesses. I will launch an infrastructure task force and work with citizens, business owners, and City staff to create actionable improvements with transparency, collaboration, and informed decision-making to keep Cayce vibrant, and welcoming.
City council holds a unique and essential role within government and the legal system because it operates where policy meets people. It is the level of government most directly connected to the daily lives of residents, and it plays a vital role in shaping the quality, fairness, and effectiveness of local governance. City councils are responsible for enacting ordinances, approving budgets, and overseeing the delivery of core services. These decisions are not abstract. They affect families, neighborhoods, and small businesses every day. The ability to respond quickly and thoughtfully to local issues is what makes this office distinct. Equally important is the council’s responsibility to represent and advocate for community interests. Councils can tailor policies to local needs. The city council also plays a crucial oversight role, holding local departments and agencies accountable to the public. It ensures transparency, ethical governance, and the fair use of public resources. Through open communication, public engagement, and careful decision-making, the council helps build trust between the government and the community. In short, this office is unique because it is both legislative and responsive; it is grounded in law and driven by people. It bridges the gap between systems and lived experience, making it one of the most impactful roles in people's everyday lives.
I am blessed to have the most amazing people in my life. There are so many that I look up to. Today I noticed that my two year old was copying everything I was doing. I think I want to focus on being the person whose example I want my children to follow.
The most important characteristics for a public official are the ability to listen, communicate clearly, and serve with respect. My career has been built on listening to customers and meeting their needs, and I will bring that same commitment to District 3. Public officials must foster mutual respect and collaboration, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued. Civil dialogue should be prioritized, even when opinions differ, because division only holds a city back. I believe in rising above conflict and focusing on solutions that strengthen our community. A good public official also supports staff, because when staff are empowered, they can provide the best service to our residents. Finally, public service should never be about the spotlight. The true measure of success is when the entire council is recognized for taking care of the city together. My focus will always be on unity, service, and results.
At its heart, public service is about trust. Citizens place their confidence in elected officials to guide the city with fairness, vision, and accountability. That trust begins with good governance—establishing clear policies, following the law, and keeping the best interests of the community at the center of every decision. It continues with careful oversight of the budget, making sure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and openly so residents can see exactly how

their contributions are being used. A strong public official also looks beyond today and sets a vision for tomorrow, preparing the city for future challenges and opportunities. That vision can only be achieved by working in partnership—with city staff, regional leaders, businesses, and, most importantly, the people who live here. Collaboration ensures that resources are stretched further and that solutions reflect the needs of the whole community. Transparency and accountability are the backbone of this work. Citizens deserve to know not

just what decisions are made, but why. That means engaging in conversations that are sometimes difficult—debates where perspectives differ—but doing so with respect, courage, and a commitment to unity. It also means recognizing that issues are often complex. Effective leaders seek first to understand, trust the expertise of city staff, and ask for professional guidance when needed to ensure sound, informed decisions. Finally, leadership requires prioritization. With limited time and resources, officials must focus on the issues that matter most, aligning efforts with the greatest needs to improve quality of life for every resident. When done well, public service is not about grabbing the spotlight but about ensuring the community shines. That is the true responsibility of a public official.
The first thing that comes to mind is the Challenger explosion when I was three, but I am not sure if I actually remember it because I was so young. I definitely remember the Berlin Wall falling when I was 6.
My first job was hosting at a local restaurant. I worked there for a year and half, but returned later as a server, bartender and then assistant manager. Altogether, I worked there for about eight years.
