The question on the ballot:
Shall an expiring increase in the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property, excepting therefrom principal residence property and other property exempt by law, in Allendale Public School, Ottawa County, Michigan, be renewed in the amount of 18.0 mills ($18.00 on each $1,000.00) on taxable value for three (3) years, 2012 through 2014 inclusive, to provide funds for school operating purposes? If this millage is approved and levied, it is estimated that revenue in the amount of $2,480,000 will be collected by the School District in the first year.[3] |
