Economic development

Safe communities and neighborhoods

  • Excerpt: "Creating infrastructures within communities and neighborhoods that promote pride and attract new residents such as: better streets and sidewalks, more street lights and signs, increase code enforcement to community standards, support to neighborhood leaders in the district and address food deserts."

Public safety

  • Excerpt: "The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department has done a great job of being proactive with crime and criminal behavior in the district and the greater Charlotte community. However, we need to decrease the response time of calls for police, maximize technology, within civil rights, to curtail criminal behavior and work closely with community police to share information and concerns to create safe neighborhoods and communities."

Constituent services

  • Excerpt: "I believe that responsiveness to the citizens living in District Two is my greatest responsibility. This will be achieved through, yearly District Two Community Summits, quarterly neighborhood leaders meetings, town hall meetings, citizen access to me via email and phone. I believe through “active listening” and a plan, we can resolve most issues together that affect your quality of life."
