Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Amanda Silvestri is a mom of two children in our public school system. She has a legal background and is very involved in Palm Beach County schools. She wants to bring the focus of the board back to education and away from politics. Amanda is a strong advocate for our children, teachers, and school officers. Amanda Silvestri is endorsed by Fraternal Order of Police, Economic Council, BizPAC, AGC Florida East Coast, The Hispanic Vote and many local leaders. Her relationships with the community will make her a strong asset on the board.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Silvestri is passionate about ensuring the safety and well-being of our students and teachers while on campus. Silvestri will work closely with our officers to ensure that they have the resources they need to effectively serve and protect our schools. She will see to it that all of our classroom doors have locking capability and that there are security checkpoints at all schools. Silvestri will make sure that our budget priorities include school hardening and implementing high-tech security measures.
