Elections for the office of Arizona State Senate took place in 2000. A primary election took place on September 12, 2000. The general election was held on November 7, 2000. Nichols ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. He defeated Kathleen Dunbar (R) and Wayne Sunne in the general election.[1]
