This measure was not put on an election ballot |
The Arkansas Unborn Child Amendment, otherwise known as Proposed Amendment 65, was scheduled to appear on the November 6, 1984, election ballot in Arkansas, but was removed by the state Supreme Court.[1]
- The measure was originally placed on the ballot as an initiated constitutional amendment, and would have banned public funding for abortion as well as established a general state policy against abortion.
- The measure was removed under state Supreme Court Opinion 84-215, which ruled that the proposed amendment could not appear on the ballot because its name was politically biased.[1]
