Queen Lili`uokalani Elementary School |
Marumoto-Coons strongly opposes the potential closure of Queen Lili`uokalani Elementary School because she values small schools and small classes, according to her. She also think it would be "ironic to shut its doors on the 100th school year since the Queen dedicated its opening."
Marumoto-Coons said closing the school would save Hawaii $372,000 a year, a potentially disputable figure.[2]
