Betsy Wergin served on the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission.[1] Wergin was appointed Commissioner August 1, 2008, and was reappointed December 16, 2009. Her term expired January 4, 2016.[1]

Wergin has served on the Board of Directors for Northland Regional Hospital, Fairview Hospitals Inc. and Elim Care Inc. Wergin was a Sherburne County Commissioner from 1995 to 2002 and served as Township Officer from 1987 to 1994.[1]

Education

Wergin completed courses in business, art and psychology at St. Cloud State College, Northwestern College and Minnesota Technical Schools.[1] She also completed the Rapport Leadership International Training.[1]

Wergin served on the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission from 2008 until her term expired on January 4, 2016.[1] She was replaced by Matthew Schuerger on January 19, 2016.[2]

Wergin served as a Minnesota State Senator from 2003 to 2008.[1]
