Expand all | Collapse all

Protecting Life
  • I believe life begins at conception. I oppose abortion except in cases of rape, incest and to save the life of the mother.

Protecting the Second Amendment

  • Our Founding Fathers enshrined the Second Amendment into the Constitution. The language is clear, absolute and applies to all law-abiding Hoosiers.

Preserving Our American Democracy

  • We must preserve the freedoms we hold dear and keep America as a beacon of hope for a world that depends on us to be strong.

Winning the War Against Crime in Indianapolis

  • Indianapolis needs more police. It needs a member of Congress who will fight for resources and funding, and one who will support our men and women in blue.

Eradicating the Scourge of Illegal Drugs

  • Indianapolis needs a stronger ability to stop illegal drug trafficking. Those suffering from substance abuse need enhanced access to mental health services.

Our Schools Need Help

  • Our city and township schools must be provided the proper resources, policies and procedures that will foster success for every student.

Securing Our Porous Borders

  • I stand with those who believe our sovereign nation has the right, and an obligation to enforce our laws and to create an immigration policy that works for everyone.

Containing China’s Threat to the United States

  • We must forge new trade alliances with freedom loving nations that treat Chinese Communist Pary aggression on one nation, as an attack on all.

March 12 submission

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Bill Allen graduated from John Marshall High School before serving his country three years in the United States Marine Corps. His travels have taken him to more than 30 nations.

He is experienced as a physical therapist, attorney, business owner and university professor. He has lived abroad for more than twelve years and worked in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, and China. His travels also included key visits to Iran, Nepal, India, Myanmar and Afghanistan.

Allen earned a BS in Physical Therapy from the IU School of Medicine and Juris Doctor from the IU School of Law. He also earned an MBA from Victoria University of Technology in Australia, a Ph.D. in Higher Education and Leadership from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ.

He has been married to his wife Cheryl for 40 years. They have three adult children and six grandchildren. Long active in the churches wherever he has lived, he has served in various leadership positions, as a Certified Biblical Counselor and as a Sunday School teacher.

  • Indiana’s 7th Congressional District needs someone who will work relentlessly to get things done. The challenges facing Indianapolis and our nation are great. A legislator’s responsibility is to use the authority, responsibility and confidence that constituents have placed in that individual to make lives better, safer, more productive and secure. My track record proves I have the ability to identify problems, create solutions, and persevere until those problems have been resolved.
  • The key to creating solutions includes the ability to think broadly – outside the box. That involves a sober evaluation of what has been done before, the benefits that have flowed from those efforts, and a fresh consideration of approaches and options that have not been tried before. I possess a broad education and experience spanning medicine, law, business and academia. I have applied these to problems encountered in various countries and cultures – and will do the same in Congress.
  • America is unparalleled in terms of freedom and opportunity. Each time I return to the United States from abroad, I am so grateful – so thankful. All countries – including China, Iran and Bangladesh – have most of the same language as ours in their laws and founding documents. The difference in America is that the Rule of Law is actually applied. Freedom easily ebbs away. I will work to maintain and strengthen American freedom and foundational values.
Protecting Life

I oppose late-term abortions, taxpayer funded abortions and will be a voice for children before and after they are born.
