With over 14 years of experience in public education—including roles in athletics, special education (SPED), and departmental leadership, I bring firsthand knowledge of what it takes to support students, teachers, and families effectively. I hold a master’s degree in Education Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington, which has equipped me to navigate educational policy, curriculum development, and the day-to-day operations of schools. I am a husband and proud father of three sons, which keeps me grounded in the realities of what families face every day. My experiences—both personal and professional—fuel my commitment to making sure every child has access to a quality education and every teacher has the tools and support they need to succeed. I'm running for school board to help shape a stronger, more responsive educational system for our community.
  • My top priority is managing the growth of LCISD by developing the infrastructure needed to meet the demands of tomorrow and beyond. Equally important is ensuring that teachers’ pay outpaces inflation, with a strong focus on retaining and developing high-quality educators.
  • I am also committed to maximizing every dollar to directly benefit classrooms, teachers, and student success. This means taking a strategic approach to budgeting and prioritizing spending that improves learning outcomes while minimizing waste. Sound financial stewardship ensures that taxpayer funds are used efficiently and transparently, allowing us to invest in the tools, training, and support our educators and students need to thrive both now and in the future.
  • I believe strong schools are built on strong partnerships with families and the broader community. That’s why I’m committed to empowering parents through open communication, increased transparency, and opportunities for meaningful involvement in the educational process. By strengthening school-community relationships, we create a shared sense of purpose and trust ensuring that every voice is heard and that decisions reflect the needs and values of the families we serve. When parents, educators, and community members work together, our students thrive.
I am passionate about student rights and safety because every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported in their learning environment. Throughout my 14+ years in education, I’ve seen how bullying, trauma, and lack of mental health support can derail a student’s academic and personal success. I’ve also worked closely with students in special education and underserved populations, and I understand how critical it is to protect their rights and ensure they receive the resources they need.
An effective elected official must be a thoughtful listener who leads with empathy, taking time to truly understand the perspectives and concerns of the people they serve. Equally important is being action-oriented and focused on getting meaningful results, not just talking about them. As a leader, you must also be willing to make tough decisions when necessary, always putting the best interests of students, families, and the broader community first.
The core responsibilities of a school board member are to represent the community's values, set clear policies that support student achievement, and ensure responsible oversight of the district’s budget and resources. It’s about creating a vision for success, hiring and evaluating the superintendent, and making decisions that directly impact the quality of education for every student. Most importantly, it’s about listening to families, supporting teachers, and maintaining transparency and accountability in everything we do. This role demands both leadership and collaboration to move our schools and our community forward.
A life of service and giving to those who are in need.
My favorite book is the Bible, as it is not only a deeply historical text, but also one that offers wisdom and practical guidance for everyday life. Its principles have shaped my values, providing clarity on how to lead with integrity, compassion, and purpose. Whether navigating personal challenges or making important decisions, I turn to the Bible for direction, as it has the power to transform lives, communities, and the world around us.
