Brian K. Ishikawa was the associate presiding judge for the Southeast Juvenile Court of the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona.[1][2] He first joined the court in 1995 and retired in February 2015.[3]

Education

Ishikawa earned his undergraduate degree in business in 1978 from Arizona State University. He earned his J.D. in 1981 from Arizona State University.[1]

2014

Ishikawa was retained to the Maricopa County Superior Court with 72.3 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [4] 

Evaluation

The Judicial Performance Review Commission provides Arizona voters with an evaluation of each judge up for retention. The commission votes on whether a candidate meets or does not meet the JPR standards. Each judge is assessed on their legal ability, integrity, communication skills, judicial temperament and administrative performance.[5]

The commission voted that Ishikawa met the JPR standards. The vote was 29-0 in favor of retention.[4]
