Carita Venable
Carita Venable (Democratic Party) is a member of the Jefferson County School District in Alabama, representing District 5. She assumed office on November 18, 2022. Her current term ends in 2028.
Venable (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Jefferson County School District to represent District 5 in Alabama. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Biography
When Venable joined the board, she had been a principal in the district since July 2015. She was an assistant principal from 2013 to 2015, a supervisor from 2009 to 2013, and a secondary instructional coach from 2007 to 2009.[1]
She obtained a B.A. in English from the University of Montevallo, a master of education (M.Ed.) in English language arts and reading from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and an M.Ed. in educational administration and supervision from Samford University.[1]
