Campaign themes

2014

Gentry explained her reason for running for school board on her campaign website:

I decided to run for the District 5 School Board seat because of a deep desire to promote and support excellence in learning in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. I have no experience as a politician, and that is a great benefit. There is danger in complacency. I do not seek this office with the intention of simply taking a seat on the Board of Education, but it is my intent, desire, and goal to take a stand and be an active, visible, progressive member who will work in the best interest of the CMCSS and the children it is charged with serving.[1]
