  • Too many of our students are not fully engaged and excited by our educational programs. We must individualize our instructional programs so that we are challenging all our students regardless of their strengths, interests, passions, and ability levels.
  • It is critical that we use the funding the voters have approved in a fiscally responsible fashion.
  • We must continue to improve our communications and engagement with the community. We must seek input and recommendations from our residents before we make major decisions.
Public education is the cornerstone of our democracy. I am passionate about making sure that public schools are educating life-long learners who are life ready, so that all students realize their full potential, regardless of their ability level. Public schools must engage and challenge all our students. We must adapt for our students the evidence-based best practices that the best schools in the world are using to engage and challenge students. All our students are capable of learning and becoming life-long learners. I am passionate about implementing best practices so that our students are engaged, challenged, and eager to learn.
A board member must be willing to attend numerous school and community events. It is critical that a board member listen to and engage with all members of the community including folks with no kids in our schools, parents, business leaders, and students.
It is important that school board members have extensive knowledge and understanding of critical education practices, policies, and laws. School board members must be able to listen to and engage and work with everyone. Finally, a board member must be willing to connect with the entire community by attending numerous school and community events.
