The city of Salt Lake City, Utah, held general elections for mayor and city council on November 21, 2023. The regular filing deadline for this election was August 15, 2023, and the write-in candidate filing deadline was September 18, 2023.
A special election for a two-year term was held for the District 7 seat on the city council. The special election was scheduled with the same dates and deadlines as the regular election.
On March 7, 2023, the Salt Lake City Council voted to use ranked-choice voting in the 2023 municipal election.[1]
