The state legislature must have a relentless focus on lowering the cost of living in our mountain and rural communities. I will prioritize legislation that brings a long-term solution to our affordable housing crisis so we can ensure our workforce can live in the communities where they work. I will continue my work on lowering the cost of health care and child care so families can get the help they need. I will also support efforts to cut taxes and red tape on our small businesses so that they can thrive, create good-paying jobs, and improve our rural economies.

The threat of drought, wildfire, and climate change is one that imperils our economic and personal futures. One of my top priorities will be protecting our Colorado water from front range and out-of-state interests and preparing our state for the possibility of water use restrictions imposed by the federal government. Funding for wildfire response, mitigation, and recovery must be a priority over the coming years, and doing everything we can to preserve our area's natural beauty for the generations to come will always be top of mind for me.

As a State Senator, I will ensure that women's personal freedoms are protected in Colorado, that equality is not infringed by state law, and that our democracy is preserved..
Matt believes in Individual Freedom and Liberties and advocates for the Safety of Coloradans. Matt’s ability to bring experience and perspective from both public and private sector is what makes him District 8’s best choice for Senator.

Matt's personal mantra is to live with honor, act with integrity, and speak the truth.

Matt's decision-making process is dedicated to transparency, consistency, and predictability.
Making life more affordable for our rural and mountain communities.

Standing up for our Colorado water and protecting our lands. Ensuring our next generation has the tools to succeed with well-funded education and economic opportunity.

Promoting rural small businesses, agriculture, and working families.
Matt has a record and practice showing that he votes for the Constitution first and his constituents second, putting himself last. Public office is about service to his community, his state, and his country.
