Prado won re-election to the South San Antonio Independent School District to represent District 5 in Texas outright after the general election on November 3, 2020, was canceled.

Four of the seven seats on the South San Antonio Independent School District school board were up for general election on November 8, 2016. In District 2, Nancy Aldana was defeated by fellow newcomer Louis Ybarra Jr.. Linda Longoria won election to the District 3 seat against Lisa Perez Porter. District 5 incumbent Connie Prado won re-election against challenger Eugene Polendo. In District 7, incumbent Stacey Estrada was defeated by Elda Flores.[1]
