Roland Hernandez is the superintendent of the Corpus Christi Independent School District. Hernandez was appointed superintendent in 2014. Hernandez's previous career experience includes working as the superintendent of the Waco Independent School District, the deputy superintendent of the Belton Independent School District and the Tyler Independent School District, and the state director of the National Assessment of Educational Progress.[1]

School board

The Corpus Christi ISD school board consists of seven members elected to four-year terms. Four members are elected by district, and three are elected at large.[2]
