Monitoring the performance of city departments, responding swiftly to crises, and making informed decisions regarding zoning and land use are also key aspects of my role, as I aim to foster sustainable growth. Collaboration will be essential as I work alongside fellow council members, city officials, and community organizations to tackle complex issues. My advocacy for District 7 at the state and federal levels will focus on securing funding and support for initiatives that benefit our residents, ensuring I prioritize the diverse needs of our community throughout my term in office.
I observed how cumbersome regulations and red tape could hinder growth and efficiency, making it difficult for small businesses like ours to thrive. This experience highlighted the importance of advocating for policies that simplify processes and reduce unnecessary barriers for entrepreneurs.
It also instilled in me a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to supporting local businesses. I learned that small businesses are the backbone of our economy, providing jobs and contributing to the community.
