David A. Patterson was a criminal court judge for the Thirteenth Judicial District Criminal Court in Tennessee. He was elected to the court on August 3, 2006, narrowly defeating incumbent Judge Lillie Ann Sells. Patterson was re-elected on August 7, 2014.[1][2][3][4] He retired on June 30, 2019.[5]

Patterson received his J.D. from the Nashville School of Law in 1989.[1]

Career

Patterson spent sixteen years as the chief deputy assistant district attorney general of the 13th Judicial District prior to his judicial election in 2006.[1]
