What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
I want a freer, safer, and more prosperous state with an education system that works for the child not just the bureaucrat. Jobs and economic growth public safety a government that works
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
The opioid crisis is killing way too many of our citizens. I want to see this tackled in much the way we did tobacco. We cut tobacco use by 60%. I am a co=founder of Kent County's drug prevention coalition-- the Vines Community Project.
Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?
Ronald Reagan because he listened to people, cared, had strong principles and was visionary. Even better his policies worked.
Is there a book, essay, film, or something else you would recommend to someone who wants to understand your political philosophy?

Integrity, a listening ear, a work ethic, and compassion.

Follow the Constitution, make the lives of the people better for having served, show up
What legacy would you like to leave?
I want our state to once again be one with low unemployment, increasing incomes, strong families, and a great education system. I want the prosperity to be for everyone though. I want to see workforce development and those who are left out be included. I want us to value faith and freedom.

Easter because He lives, I shall live also.

Every state besides Nebraska has two legislative chambers. What do you consider the most important differences between the legislative chambers in your state?
The rules, the House seems more friendly to minority bills.
Do you believe that it’s beneficial for state legislators to have previous experience in government or politics?
Yes, but not necessary. Most important is some life experience and the ability to listen to people. Local government hones those skills very well and prepares you like nothing else, but they can be developed many places.
Do you believe it’s beneficial to build relationships with other legislators? Please explain your answer.
Yes, there are only 61 others in Delaware. It is a small club so relationships matter.
If you are not a current legislator, are there certain committees that you would want to be a part of?
Sunset because we need regulatory reform.
Is there a particular legislator, past or present, whom you want to model yourself after?
former Senator Robert Venables. He was a great man who listened to constituents of both parties. He stood for his convictions even when it was not popular in his party. He represented his constituents.
