David M. Talamante
David M. Talamante was the southeast presiding/family judge for the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona.[1][2]
Talamante was appointed to the court by Gov. Jane Dee Hull (R) in 1999.[3] He was retained on November 4, 2014.[4] Talamante retired from the court in 2019.[5]

Talamante was retained to the Maricopa County Superior Court with 67.0 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [4]
Evaluation
The Judicial Performance Review Commission provides Arizona voters with an evaluation of each judge up for retention. The commission votes on whether a candidate meets or does not meet the JPR standards. Each judge is assessed on their legal ability, integrity, communication skills, judicial temperament and administrative performance.[6]
The commission voted that Talamante met the JPR standards. The vote was 29-0 in favor of retention.[4]

Talamante was retained with 64.57 percent of the vote in 2010.[7]

Talamante earned his undergraduate degree in 1975 from the University of Arizona and his J.D. in 1978 from the Arizona State University.[1]
