Des Plaines Valley and Manhattan-Elwood Public Library Bond Measures (February 2010)
There were two Des Plaines Valley and Manhattan-Elwood Public Library Bond Measures on the February 2 ballot in Will County for voters in the two library district areas.
The Des Plaines Valley measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $23,000,000 in order to renovate or build three buildings to be used as library purchasing sites, the money would also be used to equip those buildings.
The Manhattan-Elwood measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $13,350,000 in order to build a library building in the village of Manhattan, the equip and furnish the library as well.[1]
