Domenica A. Osterberger is an associate judge on the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois.[1]

Osterberger first became a judge in 2010. She failed to be reappointed by the court's circuit judges in 2015, and her term expired on June 30, 2015.[2] In September, however, Osterberger was appointed to fill her own vacancy. The vote totals are confidential, but this situation is possible even if the same amount of judges voted against her in June as in September. A newly appointed judge needs over 50 percent of the vote to become an associate judge, but someone who is up for reappointment needs 60 percent of the vote. Osterberger's term expires in 2019.[3]

Education

Osterberger received both her bachelor's degree and J.D. from the University of Illinois.[4]

Career

Osterberger previously served as an assistant state's attorney in Will County.[3]
