  • Restoring Public Trust in Public Schools: Our schools need leaders who rise above political infighting and return the focus to what matters most- students and their success. I will rebuild trust on the Denver School Board by centering collaboration, transparency, and measurable results. That means working across differences, setting clear goals for academic growth, and communicating openly with families and educators. I believe strong governance starts with listening, building relationships, and keeping every decision anchored in what helps students learn and thrive.
  • Safe, Welcoming Schools for Every Child: Every student deserves a school where they feel safe, seen, and supported. I will strengthen school safety by expanding evidence-based prevention programs, increasing access to mental health services, and supporting restorative approaches that repair harm instead of punishing students. True safety means emotional and physical wellbeing, trust between families and educators, and learning environments that welcome every child regardless of background or identity.
  • Stronger Schools, Brighter Futures: Academic excellence begins with strong neighborhood schools and well supported educators. I will champion investments in teachers, reduce class sizes where possible, and ensure literacy and math instruction meet every learner’s needs. Our focus must include whole child development, nurturing social, emotional, and academic growth so every student can thrive. By partnering with families, teachers, and communities, we can build a Denver Public Schools system that prepares all students for success in school, career, and life.
I am deeply passionate about public education policy that strengthens neighborhood schools and ensures every child has access to a safe, inclusive, and high quality learning environment. As a DPS parent with a son in our neighborhood school, I see firsthand what makes schools work and where they need support. I care about policies that empower teachers, reduce class sizes, and create a sense of belonging for every student. I also believe in responsible governance that keeps resources closest to classrooms, supports social and emotional learning, and builds trust between families, educators, and the district.
