Elections for the office of Arizona State Senate took place in 2000. A primary election took place on September 12, 2000. The general election was held on November 7, 2000. Ranger defeated Lee Chabala (D) in the Democratic primary. He was defeated by Tom Smith (R) in the general election.[1]
