Three of the five seats on the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District Board of Education were up for at-large general election on November 8, 2016. In their bids for re-election, incumbents Judi Carmona, Carol Downey, and Eric Padget defeated challengers Irene Yezbak, Susi Khan, and Helen Kingsbury.Yezbak, Khan, and Kingsbury ran together as part of the Parents for Placentia-Yorba Linda School Board slate.[1][2][3]

Funding
Padget filed an exemption form detailing he would not spend or receive more than $2,000 for this campaign. Because of this, he did not have to file additional campaign finance reports.[4][5]

Padget was endorsed by the Association of Placentia-Linda Educators.[6]

This election was canceled due to lack of opposition. Incumbents Judi Carmona, Carol Downey, and Eric Padget were re-elected by default.[7]
