Erik Askegaard

Erik Askegaard is a Ninth Judicial District judge for Crow Wing County, Minnesota. He was appointed to this position on October 19, 2009 and elected to a full term in 2012. His new term ends in January of 2019.[1]
Education
Askegaard received his B.S.B.A. degree from the University of North Dakota in 1982 and his J.D. degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1986.[1]
Career
Askegaard began his legal career in 1986 as a law clerk to Justice Meschke on the North Dakota Supreme Court. The following year, he joined the law firm of Jeffries, Olson & Flom, P.A. He worked at this firm until 1991, when he co-founded the firm of Askegaard & Robinson, P.A. He practiced with this firm until his judicial appointment in 2009.[1]
Elections
2012
Askegaard ran unopposed in the general election November 6, 2012.[2] He received 99.42 percent of the vote.[3]
