Ricigliano ran for election to the Nassau County Court.
Primary: He was successful in the Independence primary on September 9, 2014, receiving 20.8 percent of the vote. He competed against Steven M. Jaeger, Tammy S. Robbins, Caryn R. Fink, Terence P. Murphy and William J. O'Brien. Additionally, she ran on the Republican party line, though there was no primary for that party.
General: He faced Steven M. Jaeger, Tammy S. Robbins, Caryn R. Fink, Terence P. Murphy and William J. O'Brien in the general election on November 4, 2014, and won with 18.1 percent of the vote. Candidates competed for three open seats.

Ricigliano ran for election to the Nassau County Court in 2012. He was one of six candidates to compete for three seats on the court. Ricigliano was defeated in the general election, receiving 16.19 percent of the vote.[3][4]

Career
Ricigliano was previously a judge for the Nassau County District Court. He joined the court in 1999 and remained until his election to the Nassau County Court.[6] Before joining the judiciary, Ricigliano practiced with the firm Santangelo, Benvenuso, Slattery.[6]
