Freeburg School District Bond Measure (November 2010)
A Freeburg School District Bond Measure was on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the Freeburg school district area, which is in St. Clair County.
This measure was approved
- YES 3,020
- NO 2,385[1]
This measure sought to implement a bond in the amount of $4 million in order to repair the school athletic field. The school stated taxes would not have increased because a current bond would be paid off and the taxes would remain the same to pay off the new bond, but opponents would rather see the bond paid off and taxes become lower rather than stay the same. It was also noted by opponents that drainage was the main issue for the athletic field and a bond in this amount would have not been needed for such a project.[2]
