General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 41.0 percent of the vote. He competed against John J. Mahoney. [1]

Brenson attended Dulwich College from 1967 through 1975 and went on to earn his B.A. in modern languages from the University of Cambridge in 1979. He earned his J.D. from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 1989.[3]
