Indiana Terms of Office, Amendment 3 (1970)
The Indiana Terms of Office, Amendment 3, also known as Amendment 3, was on the ballot in Indiana on November 3, 1970, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed that the constitution be amended: Article 7, Section 1. The amendment proposed to increase the terms of office of the secretary, auditor and treasurer of state from two to four years and by restricting individual eligibility to no more than eight years in any period of twelve years.[1]
